How to purge houseplants without burning out
A plant purge is a timed batch of listings — “the drop” — so neighbors know when to show up. It’s the opposite of posting one lonely pothos into the void every other Tuesday.
The 5-step purge
- Pick a window. Saturday morning still wins. Tease it 3–5 days out.
- Group the plants. Same shelf, same story. Attach them to one purge.
- Collect RSVPs. RSVPs are your notify list — reminder + “it’s live” pings.
- Open the drop. Porch pickup first; shipping only if you mean it.
- Close clean. Mark what’s gone. Thank the weirdos who brought boxes.
Tease: “Rosa’s Hagerstown purge” drew 41 RSVPs in our demo cast — your real purge will show live counts in-app.
Why purges beat random posts
- Friends can plan a route
- You clear a shelf in one go
- Followers get one story, not twelve notifications
